Musical Imaginings (Grades 1-3)

Course Description: The ever-talented director and music teacher, Jean Martin, is bestowing her musical talents on us this summer in this Evergreen course.

Mrs. Martin will guide students in learning new pieces and creating songs with instrumental accompaniments. Here at Pine Point we recognize musical education for young students has benefits not only for the development of artistic expression, but it also helps to implement basic life skills with an emphasis on character education. In Musical Imaginings our young musicians will be actively involved in creative problem solving, decision making, and working towards a common goal. Social skills including respect, poise, confidence, resilience, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills will also be developed and enhanced through cooperation and collaboration. Students can expect to experience a great sense of accomplishment and joy at the conclusion of the program as they share their hard-learned work through a performance for loved ones. If you too are feeling musically inspired, you won't want to miss out on this exciting opportunity to create!
