Here you will find an exciting mix of programs to enrich your child's summer.  We have collected a fun variety of programs to nourish the bodies and minds of students aged 3-15.  To ease the process of scheduling your child's summer activities, programs have been organized by month.  Feel free to browse through all the selections to find the perfect summer adventure for your family.

Please Note:  Camp Invention, SoccerPlus and Blue Print Lacrosse camps conduct their own registrations.  Simply follow the links in the course descriptions.

Junior Engineering 1 -- Class Full

Age: Students entering grades K-2
Using LEGO parts and pieces students will learn by doing in this course by nationally recognized Michigan Learning. Learn about gears, levers,wheels, axles, forces, and simple machines. Integrate math, science and FUN!

Intensive Chess

Age: Students entering grades 1-7
This program is for chess players who have mastered the basics and want to advance their play. Lessons will include analyzing world famous games and the study of openings, middle and end game strategies.

Golf Lessons

Age: students entering grades 1-4
Get hooked on a game you can enjoy your whole life. In this 3-day program beginners will learn the basics of golf - grip, stance, posture, and alignment. For more experienced players, we'll learn some special skills and drills to improve your game.

Introduction to Chess

Age:  Students entering grades 1-7
Stimulate your brain this summer by learning the strategic game of chess. Lessons divided into learning the basics of chess and analyzing chess moves played in the classroom and against instructor.

Camp Invention

Age: Students entering grades 1-6
Pine Point is pleased to be hosting nationally recognized Camp Invention, a week long science themed program that ignites a passion for learning through fun hands on activities. There are no right answers - just experiments and surprises!

SoccerPlus at Pine Point: Little Kickers

Age: Pre- K
A perfect introduction to soccer for the 3 and 4 year old. While based on the exciting game of soccer, this one hour course focuses on fundamental movement skills, coordination, ball awareness and confidence. Engaging professional coaching staff use a well designed curriculum to build a strong physical, intellectual and emotional foundation for early learners. All players receive assessment/certificate and a SoccerPlus t-shirt.

SoccerPlus at Pine Point: K-1

Age: Students entering K-1
This session focuses on developing individual ball mastery, dribbling, 1v1, speed, and agility. Engaging professional coaching staff builds on learning and further develops players comfort with the ball by improving balance and coordination. All players receive an assessment/ certificate as well as a SoccerPlus t-shirt.

SoccerPlus at Pine Point:  Advanced

Age: Students entering grades 2-8
This session focuses on developing skills for defending an attacking in pairs. There will be a daily theme and each day will emphasize the mastery of on technique. Players will be organized by grade and development. 30-45 minutes of each session will be dedicated to speed, agility and balance training. Skills passing and shooting will also be emphasized. All players receive an assessment/ certificate as well as a SoccerPlus t-shirt.

Art Explorations! -- FULL

Age: Students entering grades 1-5
Explore form, color and function through mixed media - draw, paint, sculpt and assemble, both real and imagined pieces.  Traditional drawing and sculpting techniques will be taught as well as the elements of design. We will adventure outside to draw inspiration from Pine Point's own lush gardens as well as create from our own lush minds in the studio.

Creature Character Sculpting
Age: Students entering grades 5-9
Let your imagination take hold as we create mythical beasts and fantastic creatures out of polymer clay using techniques like the pros in the television and film industry.  You bring the imagination, we'll provide the materials and expert instruction to breathe life into your creations through the entire sculpting process from building the armature and adding detail to appropriate painting techniques.

Sewing for Beginners

Age: Students entering grades 5-9
Love Project Runway? Well everyone has to start somewhere. Learn the basics so you can create your own styles. We'll start with fabulous pajama bottoms, create your own totebag, and other projects as time allows.

Pre-K Gymnastics Fun and Games

Age: Students entering preschool and kindergarten
Join us for some fun learning basic gymnastics skills on the tumbling mats, vault and the balance beam.  Learn to bear walk, roll, cartwheel, balance and jump while having fun with body movement.  Classes will include active play, games, warm up, and introduction to all the different events.

Blueprint Lacrosse Camp

Age: Students entering grades 4-8
At Blueprint Lacrosse Camps we provide a high level of lacrosse instruction. Our aim is to teach lacrosse and to be positive role models for each individual camper. We want every child to have a unique and positive experience at Blueprint whether they are just learning the basics or are ready for more advanced play.

Jump and Tumble
Age: Students entering grades 2-9
Spend a week with us working on the FUNdamentals of the exciting sport of jumproping and tumbling. We'll work on conditioning and proper form as well as rope handling skills such as single rope, long rope, double dutch, Chinese wheels and travelers. We'll incorporate tumbling skills and work on synthesizing movement to music. Come join our successful Pouncing Panthers!

Beginning Quilting

Age: Students entering grades 6-9
If you can sew a straight line on a sewing machine, you can create your own beautiful quilt. Learn the basic principles of using a rotary cutter, piecing with 1/4" seams, and ironing seams flat to make your own colorful 9-patch quilt.

Age: Students entering Preschool and Kindergarten
Join us for days working and playing together to make new friends and have Summer Fun! We will cook, sing, put on puppet shows, make crafts and play games in our beautiful Early Childhood Center . We offer full day, half day and three day options depending on the needs of your family.

Create 14 different vehicles using LEGO parts and pieces in this Michigan Learning program. Projects include car, golf cart, Model "A" Ford, semi-truck, snow plow and a Zamboni. Learn the snap together skills to create the vehicle of your dreams!

Vehicle Engineering

For the more advanced LEGO enthusiast, this Michigan Learning program will facilitate the design of 13 vehicles plus a final project. Vehicles include adjustable crane, Bobcat, flipper car, motorcycle, riding mower, steam roller and submarine. Put your own spin on a new set of wheels!
