Admissions
Pine Point seeks to enroll students of above average to superior ability ages 3 through 15 who would benefit from an enriched and active learning environment. Our comprehensive academic program is rigorous and sets high expectations for every child. Equally important, we make a commitment to develop an individual’s character and leadership. The Center for Assessment and Learning [CAL] provides young scholars with opportunities both for curricular acceleration as well as for short term remediation and support. Dedicated to educating the whole child, our distinguished faculty strive to assure every learner’s success at Pine Point. Parents are expected to be full partners in this educational process.
Each member of the Pine Point family is encouraged to live out the School’s mission and fully embrace its core values of respect, integrity, moral courage, and excellence.
As a member of the Association of Independent Schools in New England we affirm our long standing policy of nondiscriminatory admission of students. We admit students of any race, color, religious affiliation, national and ethnic origin and qualified handicapped students to all rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to students at our school. We do not discriminate in the administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school administered programs.
Application Process
We accept applications year round. However, it is advisable to submit your application in the fall prior to the year you would like your child to enroll. The height of the admissions season extends from October through March. We begin scheduling classroom visitations in the beginning of January. Admissions decisions are normally announced in March. Families have two weeks after notification to reach a decision.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Apply online here or download an application.
