The Fifth Grade are pen pals with a 4th/5th grade class in Ladner, British Columbia, which is gearing up for the Winter Olympic Games in nearby Vancouver.
Wesleyan University graduate student Tristan Kading shared his knowledge of volcanoes with seventh and ninth grade students this month. The ninth graders will study volcanism in depth on their ISP trip to Costa Rica in March, 2010.
