All are welcome
Events at Pine Point strengthen ties with the Pine Point family – our alumni, current and past parents, grandparents, friends, faculty and staff – while also engaging members of the community beyond Barnes Road. Most events occur annually and take place at the School; a few are held off-campus at local venues with which Pine Point has developed strong partnerships.

Please make plans to join us for a brand new event, Green and Gold Expeditions 2018, which will be held at Lake of Isles in North Stonington, Connecticut! The bi-annual benefit party for Pine Point School will feature seated dinner, silent and live auctions and dancing. This event will raise funds for experiential learning as well as a new bus to get there.
In the past we’ve gathered by the sea and had a snow ball. These events have provided important support for the entire program while also making possible the construction of our middle school athletic locker rooms and the purchase of resources ranging from iPads, microscopes, a kiln, “great fit books” for our youngest students, and substantial backing of the faculty’s professional development. The most recent Snow Ball took place on February 20, 2016 and brought out over 200 members of the Pine Point family and the greater community. The 2016 Snow Ball was a record-setting night, raising $160,000 in net income to support the experience of this current generation of Pine Point students and their teachers.
Since the 1990s, the Pine Point family - alumni, current and past parents, grandparents, faculty and staff - has gathered each fall to renew our ties to each other and the School, honor volunteer service, and thank the many people who support Pine Point’s mission and programs.
On September 22, 2017, we will be “Gathering Under the Stars” on the fields at Pine Point. With fabulous food from local farms, cozy seats by the fire, live background music, tasty beverages... all we need to make the party complete is more Pine Point people!
We will also celebrate and recognize Jenny and Adam Wronowski ’87 with the Steven M. Castle Award, our highest honor, for the many ways (and years!) that they have volunteered - together and individually - in support of Pine Point School. We hope you’ll join us for what will be a truly special evening - please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Join Us on April 28, 2018
One of our very favorite days of the year! For almost 40 years Pine Point has hosted this gathering of the Pine Point extended family on the last Friday in April. In recent years more than 250 grandparents and special friends have come to campus to experience a day in the life of Pine Point.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s gathering on April 27, 2018. Save the date!

At Commencement Pine Point celebrates the achievements of those in the middle school who distinguished themselves academically and through their character and commitment to the community.
Erin Larson ’04 will be the Commencement Speaker on June 9, 2018. As a Ph.D candidate in ecology and evolutionary biology at Cornell University, Erin combines her love for studying streams with studying Spanish and exploring new countries.
“I am still working on figuring out where I want to find my niche - as an educator or working in the nonprofit or consulting world," Erin said. "Pine Point’s emphasis on interdisciplinary study trained me from an early age to get excited about the opportunities these crossroads represent.”
