28th Annual Golf Tournament
Fundraising Record Set for Second Year in a Row!
On October 19, 2020 we were back at Stonington Country Club teeing it up in support of Pine Point. Once again, our three lead sponsors — The Kelsey Family, Professional Planning Group, and DeMovick Design & Development — generously backed our efforts, and on the eve of the tournament, we were delighted to welcome a new sponsor — Friends of Thomas Kearney. For the first time ever, we also secured 18 tee sponsors! Finally, you can’t play a golf tournament without players. In a very unsettled time, 67 players turned out to reconnect with friends, get outdoors to enjoy a sport they love, and support Pine Point.
While we observed all of the necessary protocols in terms of masks, distancing, food service, and the use of carts, there was an incredible spirit to the day in what may be our only in-person, development-sponsored gathering for a while. It certainly didn’t hurt that it was an absolutely beautiful fall day. When it was over, we had set a record for the tournament, raising $34,290 and eclipsing last year’s mark by $630. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support of our sponsors and players!
