Events at Pine Point strengthen ties with the Pine Point family – our alumni, current and past parents, grandparents, friends, faculty and staff – while also engaging members of the community beyond Barnes Road. Most events occur annually and take place at the School; a few are held off-campus at local venues with which Pine Point has developed strong partnerships.

One of our very favorite days of the year! For almost 40 years Pine Point has hosted this gathering of the Pine Point extended family on the last Friday in April. In recent years more than 250 grandparents and special friends have come to campus to experience a day in the life of Pine Point.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s gathering on April 27, 2018. Save the date!
The 26th annual Pine Point Golf Tournament takes place Monday, May 14, 2018. Always a great day of fun and good-spirited competition, the School’s annual tournament provides the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at Stonington Country Club, one of the area’s top courses, while raising significant funds to support our program. At Commencement Pine Point celebrates the achievements of those in the middle school who distinguished themselves academically and through their character and commitment to the community.
Erin Larson ’04 will be the Commencement Speaker on June 9, 2018. As a Ph.D candidate in ecology and evolutionary biology at Cornell University, Erin combines her love for studying streams with studying Spanish and exploring new countries.
“I am still working on figuring out where I want to find my niche - as an educator or working in the nonprofit or consulting world," Erin said. "Pine Point’s emphasis on interdisciplinary study trained me from an early age to get excited about the opportunities these crossroads represent.”

The Royce Speaker Series is dedicated to bringing important conversations to Pine Point and our community in Southeast Connecticut and Rhode Island. Generously funded by current Pine Point grandparents Chuck and Deborah Royce, the series’ events are free and open to all.
Since the 1990s, the Pine Point family - alumni, current and past parents, grandparents, faculty and staff - has gathered each fall to renew our ties to each other and the School, honor volunteer service, and thank the many people who support Pine Point’s mission and programs.
Please join us on September 28, 2018 for our annual Fall Gathering. That night, we will also celebrate and recognize the winner, or winners, of this year's Steven M. Castle Award. We hope you’ll join us for what is always a special evening and that serves as a springboard to the school year!
Pine Point’s Green & Gold Expedition will assemble at Lake of Isles for a festive evening with a purpose: to financially support the School and celebrate the faculty, staff, parents, and friends who make the Pine Point community special.
Please join us at the Green & Gold Expedition benefit party, to be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
